Android Nougat rollout: which manufacturers have been fastest so far?

Android updates are one of the major parts of our experience with smartphones. We place a great deal of importance on them, they’re the subject of neverending criticism, and we’ve all experienced the pain of waiting for one that just never seems to arrive.

Meet the latest Moto Mod: a snap-on 360-degree camera

We got a quick glimpse of the new Moto 360 Camera last month. Now we know all about this new Moto Mod: from its specs to its price tag.

Just a little less than a month ago, Motorola unveiled an all-new Moto Mod called the Moto 360 Camera at an event in Ghana. Though the name “Moto 360” returns, it has nothing to do with smartwatches; in fact, the latest addition to the Moto Mod family is a 360-degree camera that can be snapped onto Moto Z devices. Unfortunately, the company did not tell us anything about its specs, price, or availability. Until now, that is.

Moto Z2 Play officially announced: coming to Verizon in July, unlocked version later this summer

After months and months of leaks, rumors, and speculation, Lenovo has finally taken the wraps off its new powerhouse of a phone, the Moto Z2 Play. The original Moto Z Play brought us incredible battery life at an affordable price, and the Z2 Play, unsurprisingly, will do just that, but in a more refined package.

Before we get into the nitty gritty specs, let’s first talk about where you’ll be able to buy this thing. It’s coming to Verizon as a carrier exclusive in July in Lunar Gray and Fine Gold color options, though it’s worth noting Big Red is finally dropping that confusing “Droid” branding this time around. If you’re not a Verizon customer, you’ll also be able to buy an unlocked version “later this summer” for $499. That’s $50 more than what the Z Play went for when it debuted last year.

Deal: Get Verizon’s Moto Z Droid for just $5 a month at Best Buy

Looking to upgrade your smartphone, but aren’t keen on spending money on a mid-range phone? Best Buy may have a great deal for you. Right now, Verizon’s Moto Z Droid Edition can be yours for just $4.99 a month for 24 months, which means you’ll pay less than $120 for the total cost of the phone over two years.

That’s a huge discount, even considering the fact that Verizon is currently selling the same phone on its site for $10 a month for 24 months, which itself is a big price drop from its normal $26 a month. Of course, you will have to stick with the Moto Z Droid for two years on Verizon’s network, but paying less than $120 for this high-end phone may be worth it to many people. The deal is available online, or at your local Best Buy store.
